So, two weeks and it's gone, just like that. The most fantastic trip ever! Bali - Ubud and then Canggu… A must for any artist: one week of arts, culture, monkeys, zoos and the one week of beach, catching up on my (non) tan, doodling on the beach, drawing at the villa, sketching in the town…

The textures in and around the cities and villages had me meandering streets, temples, town squares, (extremely) busy roads, and empty beaches…. the sunsets, odd shapes in the wood and patterns kept me looking for more inspiration. I get it. The organic shape of the rock faces, the chaos in the 'organised' pattern comes from the Balinese 'nature'… the largest oldest wood I've seen, biggest snakes and most incredible sunsets.
Overall, a highly relaxing holiday and so much inspiration! Can't wait to get back to Bali!
