After major flurry last week, I hit a quiet spot for a day or two - this isn't a bad thing. My intention with last week, was to finish my art book - fill it with stories and illustrations and have at least 5 I could expand on. Well, the problem with finishing a book, is starting another.
There are two things about art books I have an aversion to; 1. working on the first page, and 2. starting a whole brand new book. I used to work back to front, but I'm certainly getting better at this. My thoughts were about your worst piece being (usually) at the front. I've been thinking about portfolios for too long, clearly. I also prefer larger than A5 books - A4 means the line is thinner and easier to work with in post, however this little book I'm working in now, is small, compact, looks robust and travels fairly lightly…. so, watch this space.
