So, I've been watching a series on gestural drawing online. The aim: put down as much as possible gesturally as an illustration in 5 minutes. Now this has come about through a conversation with another illustrator friend of mine who talked about illustrators whose sketch work was better than their finished work. This lead me to thinking - how do I get my quick sketching up, thumb nails tighter and my finished digital and tradition as good as each other?
While I don't have this resolved, I have found through experimenting a whole lot more with my preferred media, working quickly and generally looking for consistency in style, the uniform style is emerging.
